Center for Strategy and Development (Georgia)

Center for Strategy and Development (CSD) is a non-partisan and neutral, non-governmental organization. CSD is one of the leading independent think tanks in the country. Our values are based on the principles of equality, freedom, respect, accountability, and transparency. Our goals are to support Georgia’s national security, strengthen the country’s principles of effective and democratic governance, support its European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and create the conditions for Georgia’s sustainable development.

With the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Office for Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR), CSD has been conducting several initiatives to enhance Georgia’s capacity to identify and respond to CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) and ACW (Advanced Conventional Weapons) threats. The aim of the interventions has been to expand non-proliferation activities and awareness in Georgia. Diverse actions have been implemented to improve the technical and tactical capabilities of relevant state institutions, prepare law enforcement agencies for appropriate scenarios, sensitize private sector representatives from financial and logistics companies.
