The Task Force on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation has been established by the arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation experts of the former Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. The experts (listed below) carry on their related research and lecturing at different universities, the training of graduate and PhD students in the field and pursue joint research as well. They are widely publishing and participating in different projects both in the Hungarian and the international context.

Erzsébet N. Rózsa | Professor at the National University of Public Service Arabist and Iranist, with a PhD in International Relations (nuclear non-proliferation). She is a Professor at the National University of Public Service, Budapest, and has been a guest lecturer at several other universities both in Hungary and abroad, lecturing – among others – on arms control and non-proliferation. Parallelly, 1990-2016 a Senior Research Fellow at the former Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, since 2016 a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of World Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. |

Zoltán Gálik | Zoltán Gálik is an Associate Professor at the Institute for International Studies, Corvinus University of Budapest, and a former senior research fellow at the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Relations (2002-2014). He is specialized in European Union Affairs, Security Studies and the foreign policy of the United Kingdom. He earned a Ph.D. degree in International Relations from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2007, the thesis focused on the theoretaical ascpects of the European Security and Defence policy. |

Anna Péczeli | Anna Péczeli is a visiting scholar at The Europe Center (TEC) at Stanford University. She is also a research fellow at the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies at the National University of Public Service in Budapest, Hungary. In 2016-2017 she was a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford University. Previously, she was an assistant lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest, an adjunct fellow at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, a visiting research fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, and a visiting Fulbright fellow at the Nuclear Information Project of the Federation of American Scientists in Washington, DC. She earned a Ph.D. degree in International Relations from Corvinus University of Budapest, her research focused on the Obama administration’s nuclear strategy – the review of nuclear guidance, and the extent to which the legacies of the Cold War still define U.S. nuclear planning. |

András Rácz | Historian, political scientist and specialist on Russia-affairs. He defended his Ph.D. in Modern History in 2008 at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. 2007-2014 he worked at the former Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, as well as at the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies. In 2014-2016 he was Senior Research Fellow of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in Helsinki. Since his return to Hungary he has been Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University and Security Policy Analysts of the policy research and consulting institute Political Capital. Besides, he is Non-Resident Research Fellow of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute operating in Tallinn. |
