GRIP is an independent research center created in 1979 and based in Brussels (Belgium). GRIP’s main aims are study, research, information and training on peace, defense and disarmament with a view to improving international security in Europe and throughout the world. GRIP research work focuses mainly on: Proliferation of small arms and light weapons and their ammunition, arms trade control; European Union and international security; defense economics; and conflict prevention and resolution.
