Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) (Germany)

Advances in science and technology, esp. in information technology (IT), play a crucial role in the context of peace and security. The research group Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) in the Department of Computer Science with secondary appointment in the Department of History and Social Sciences at Technische Universität Darmstadt deals with the significance of IT for safety, security and peace. This includes both empirical research on the perception and use, as well as technical research on the design of novel technologies and applications.
