Aberystwyth University – David Davies Memorial Institute of International Studies

The David Davies Institute is part of the Department of international politics in Aberystwyth University. The aim of the fellowship is to apply insights from theories and practices of trust developed in the wider Social Sciences and arts and Humanities to International Relations and Security studies. The Institute aims at establishing trust as a core concept in international Relation and Security studies with a focus on the empirical area of nuclear weapons.

Malcolm Savidge is the Senior Fellow for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Issues. He is the former Member of Parliament for Aberdeen North, former Convenor of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Security and Non-proliferation, and former member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on World Government.
