Department of Public Administration and Sociology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam is world-leading research institution in public policy and public administration. This research focuses on several themes, from broad theoretical and methodological angles. The department places great attention on the societal relevance of the research undertaken within the department. Research foci include global and European governance, as well as international security. The research addresses also major themes of nuclear politics, including the NPT and its review process, and the nuclear disarmament.

Dr Michal Onderco

Assistant Professor

Michal Onderco is Assistant Professor of International Relations at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He published widely on the politics of nonproliferation, and on domestic politics of nonproliferation. He is author of Extending the NPT (with Leopoldo Nuti, Woodrow Wilson Center 2020) and  Iran’s nuclear program and the Global South (Palgrave, 2015).

Previously, he was a Junior Faculty Fellow at Stanford’s Center for International Security and Cooperation (2018-2019), Max Weber Fellow at the EUI (2014-2015), and a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Columbia University (2012-2013). He received his PhD from Free University Amsterdam.
